Queen of the Wild II Slot from WMS

Available In:

The original Queen of the Wild slot was a standard 5×3 game with stacked symbols. This was a popular game, and has been given a big upgrade for the new version. Queen of the Wild II uses the WMS ‘colossal reels’ setup, which gives you two sets of reels for each spin – and replicates stacked wilds between them. The graphics and animations have also received an upgrade, as have the number of free spins. You can trigger up to 100 of these, and wins on the larger reel-set receive 2x on all wins.

Colossal Reels and Stacked Symbols

Colossal reels involve giving each slot 2 sets of reels, which sit side by side on the screen. The first is a regular 5 by 4 grid, just like you would find in any online slot. To the right is a much larger set of reels. This is 12 symbols tall, and 5 reels wide – and gives you many more ways to connect symbols on win lines.

This setup has already proven itself to be very popular. You will now find in on several different titles including Li’l Red Riches.

The reels interact when you get a stacked wild symbol on the left hand (regular) set. If an entire reel is covered in wilds, this will replicate itself into the same position on the bigger set of reels – where it is much more valuable (in terms of the potential number of wins that can be created).

Having stacked symbols in play will help you to hit 100’s of wins at the same time on occasion. The biggest wins come from the Queen of the Wild herself, an Amazonian type warrior in skimpy animal skin outfit seen from behind. This symbol appears 4 high – as does the muscular looking gorilla. You will also find parrots, a leopard, flowers and playing card symbols on the reels. Some of these are stacked in long strips, and able to cover the longer reels.

Jungle ‘Hidden’ Symbols

Some of the symbols are hidden behind dense jungle foliage for the initial spins. You will find strips of greenery on the reels, which can cover large areas at times. When these come to a stop, the plants will part, revealing the symbols underneath. While these will not always create extra wins, they will often display symbols matching those around them. If you are lucky enough to combine this with the stacked symbols and maybe the wilds too, then there is certainly some big-win potential.

Free Spins and Bigger Wins

Free spins are triggered by the golden gorilla mask symbols. These come stacked on the reels, and you need to see them on 3 separate reels (both sets are included) in order to trigger the bonus. You can trigger between 10 and 100 of these free spins, depending on exactly how many bonus symbols you have in view.

Jungle drums and a chanting ‘tune’ start up when this bonus begins.

As an extra bonus, you’ll get 2x on any wins. The wilds replicating from one set of reels to the other, plus the special jungle symbols which reveal their contents after the spin are both still in play. You can retrigger this bonus round with more of the golden masks.

Striking Amazonian Design

While many slots use jackpots to attract the eye on the casino floor, this one uses a scantily clad Amazonian warrior. This is a detailed design, and backed up nicely by the animals, with the (stacked) gorilla symbol standing out in particular.

If you are not used to the colossal reels system, this will feel intensive for the first few spins. You will find this system is very easy to tune in to, with a smooth animation in use while the wilds move from the smaller set to the larger ones. Jungle noises are mixed in with the familiar electronic sounds that many WMS slots share.

Will this Jungle Themed Slot Drive You Wild?

If you enjoyed the popular first version if Queen of the Wild, then I am sure you will not need any persuading to try the updated game. Colossal reels add a new dimension to slot play, and are certainly worth a go. The moving wilds can be very valuable, especially those times you are lucky enough to trigger 2 or more reels to move to the 12-symbol tall colossal reels.

Queen of the Jungle II gives you a lot of big win potential in the free spins game. With all wins doubled, and up to 100 spins (plus retriggers) possible, you’ll certainly want to see as many of those stacked wilds as possible in this part of the game.
