Key Features of the Chinese New Year Slot Machine

The excitement of Chinese New Year celebrations has been captured in 5 reels and 30 paylines. Sheriff Gaming have gone the Panda way with this 3D video slot and lovers of the Far East holidays will find it irresistible. Fireworks are a part of Chinese culture and history and they are everywhere on the slot. The theme is fireworks, and there are fireworks each time a winning combination is hit. There are also wilds, scatters, multipliers, free spins, and a bonus game.

The interface of Chinese New Year features a glorious temple and a night sky lit up with fireworks. As you play, you will be constantly aware of the giant panda bear standing on the right side of the reels and grunting with approval each time you land a winning combination. On the reels are characters as wacky as you can imagine, mostly representing fireworks. So the feel-good factor is predominant. The fireworks are of seven different types.

Betting Options

Chinese New Year has a range of betting options that are comfortable for every pocket. The penny slots player can make a low bet of $0.01, while the high-roller can bet a maximum of $150.  The number of lines you can bet on range from 1 to 30. You are allowed to bet from 1 to 5 coins on each line, with the coin values ranging from $0.01 to $1. The highest bet gives you the chance to win the maximum jackpot, which is $3,750.

How to Play Chinese New Year

There is a range of betting options provided at the bottom of the reels with which you place your total bets and then spin the reels. As usual, these options are all Sheriff-custom. There is a button for selecting coin denomination, a button for selecting the number of coins to bet on each line, and a button for selecting the number of lines to play. There is also the usual bet max button for playing on the highest coin denomination and line bet. You spin the reels using the spin or auto spin buttons.

Every win you get triggers a double up feature and a screen with the panda is loaded. The panda rolls the dice, and you have to guess if the sum of the dice will be even or odd. Each time you are right, you get double prizes. A wrong guess means lose of all your winnings. As you can see, this is very similar to the gamble feature, but there is slightly less risk as you are given up to 10 chances per win

Bonus Round

The wild symbols in Chinese New Year are firework balls. They replace all regular symbols, with the exception of the scatters, to create a winning combination. The payouts from these regular symbols are standard.

One of the scatter symbols is the bamboo rocket tubes tied together with a string. It is the extra cash symbol, and when 3 or more appear on reels 1, 3, and 5, you get a click me bonus game. Fireworks explode and you receive a random cash prize.

The second scatter is more lucrative, and its symbol is the red rocket symbol. Three of these symbols on reels 1, 2, and 3 activate the feature bonus and yield either a cash prize or free spins. You get the free spins from picking a box at random. Another box holds the multiplier. This bonus feature crops up many times and the free spins yield a lot of cash when the 5X multiplier appears.
