Five Reel Bingo Slot from Rival Gaming
It is hard to tell whether this slot is designed to appeal to bingo fans, or is a parody of the game. This is definitely a 5 reel video slot (by Rival Gaming) and not a bingo variation – though there is a break out bonus round which involves a game of bingo.
Overall this is an upbeat and light-hearted look at the world of bingo.
You’ll find some of the characters involved in the games on the reels, and you’ll have the chance to land some big wins over the 20 win lines too.
How to Win on Five Reel Bingo
Winning money does not involve the numbers drawn from a cage, instead you’ll need to line up matching symbols from the left hand side. The single biggest prize comes from lining up 5 of the lady holding a bingo card (complete with the I love Bingo shirt). This is worth 1500 coins for all 5, with 150 coins for 4 and 30 coins for just 3.
The bingo called comes next, this guy has an impressive (cartoon) mustache and is worth 500 coins for 5 on a line, 100 for 4 and 20 coins for 3. A cage full of bingo balls, marker pen, bingo cards, money and troll doll are next on the pay table – there are no playing card symbols for this game, which is always a plus.
Wild symbols only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 of this slot, and are represented by a golden bingo ball with a star on it. These will substitute for any of the regular symbols covered above, and also have a multiplier if you make wins with more than one. A win with 2 wilds gets a 2x multiplier, and a win with all 3 gets a 3x multiplier.
There are two remaining symbols, each is involved with one of the two bonus games.
Five Reel Bingo Bonus Games
A balding guy in a green shirt is the scatter symbol which triggers the free spins bonus round. You’ll get 5 spins for 3 anywhere in view, with 10 spins for 4 and 20 spins for 5. The only real difference between the main game and the free spins is the 3x multiplier on all wins. Multipliers with the wild symbols do apply, so you have the chance of hitting some very big wins here.
The other bonus symbols are letters which spell out the word ‘bingo’ (using bingo balls). If you spell the word completely, then you’ll trigger the bonus game which starts with the screen filling up with white bingo balls.
Next you hit an instruction screen which shows the patterns you are aiming for on your card. You then go to a screen with the card on the right and the balls being shown on the top left. You have a marker (via your mouse) and can check off the balls that hit on your card. When you make one of the patterns, the game ends and you are shown the number of coins you won. In case you do not wish to go through the entire game, you get an optional ‘fast play’ button below the reels.
Setup and Design for Five Reel Bingo
There are 20 win lines as a default for this game, though as with most Rival Gaming slots you are free to lower this amount – and to adjust your coin size and number of coins per spin too.
You really can’t miss the happy tune playing in over this slot, it is almost childish in its simplicity and structure and could well drive you crazy after 10 minutes or more! Other sounds are the standard electronic beeps and chimes used in many other slots.
The overall design is nothing too special – though the caricature bingo playing characters are nicely created. There are some nice design touches, including the line markers being bingo balls, and the bouncing ‘bingo’ balls in the header logo. You will find some animations on the reels, though again these are fairly basic. The marker pen puts dots on a card, and the wins themselves are marked off with giant dots.
I enjoyed this slot despite feeling that it really was not my kind of a game. Rival Gaming has managed to create a humorous look at the world of Bingo, and include some big win opportunities at the same time. This is unlikely to become a long-term favorite, though is certainly good enough to take for a quick spin.
