Dazzling Diamonds Slot from Novomatic

Available In:

As you might have guessed from the title, the Dazzling Diamonds slot that is all about gem stones, with the diamond itself taking center stage. Joining the diamond are an emerald, a ruby, a sapphire and an amethyst, while a silver ring, a diamond encrusted wristwatch and a bundle of money can also be found on the reels. Dazzling Diamonds slot machine is a very straightforward game, with no wilds and no bonus features at all. However, it does feature a slightly unique way of winning, while you’ll also find a gamble option where you’ll have the opportunity of doubling your money.

How to Win on Dazzling Diamonds

When you first take a look at the Dazzling Diamonds slot machine pay table you’ll see that a win will come your way when landing three or more symbols in a row, which seems just the same as any other slot. However, all is not quite as it seems, as the usual left to right system isn’t in place here. Here wins come along when you land symbols on adjacent reels. So for example, if you were to land symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 you’d trigger a win, which you certainly wouldn’t in any other game.

The diamond itself is of course the highest paying symbol, far out paying any other. Hitting 5 in a row is worth a huge 10,000 coins, while even 4 in a row still gives you a four figure payout of 1,000 coins. The silver ring and the piles of money also have a top payout of 1,000 coins. The standard symbols are completed by the ruby and the emerald which are worth 400 coins, while the sapphire and the amethyst pay 300 coins.

The diamond encrusted watch is a scatter symbol, meaning it will pay out when appearing anywhere on the reels, adjacent or not.  Land three scatters and you’ve won 40 coins, land 4 scatters and you’ve won 200 coins, while the maximum five scatters will see you pocket 2,000 coins.

Dazzling Diamonds Gamble Feature

Each time you hit a win you’ll be offered the gamble feature. If you do choose to gamble you’ll see a face down playing card. Either side of the card you’ll see two large boxes which say ‘red’ or ‘black’. Choose one and if you predict correctly you’ll double your money, but get it wrong and the win is now gone. You do actually have the opportunity of gambling again and again if you keep winning and potentially turn a small win into a small fortune. For example, if you were to win 100 coins for hitting four emeralds in a row, if you were to gamble correctly 5 times in a row, the win amount would be a big 3,200 coins.

Design and Setup

It has to be said that the design of the game is pretty basic. The background to the slot shows a small metal fence in the foreground, with what might be a dazzling house in the background, although the scene is a little blurred. The reels themselves have a plain dark blue background, while the different colored gems add some color to the game. The game has little animation, as the symbols simply increase and decrease in size when you land a win, while the accompanying sound throughout the game is very generic, with the simple clicking and clunking of the reels. Overall, the sound and graphics fail to excite.

For a five reel slot, it’s a little unusual to have just 10 win lines, although you can actually choose to play fewer, any number between 1 and 10 in fact. The fact that the slot pays for adjacent wins does give you more winning opportunities than other slots with 10 win lines however. You’ll also choose your bet per line, which in conjunction with the number of win lines will give you your total stake. The best option is the auto play, which you’ll simply click to start and then click again to stop.

Overall Experience

Unfortunately, there isn’t really enough going on at this Novomatic designed slot to inspire you to play for long. The lack of any bonus features at all (apart from the gamble feature which is somewhat standard anyway) gives the game a monotonous feel and after a while you’ll simply give up and find a more interesting game. The only saving grace is the slightly unusual winning system where you’ll be paid for symbols on adjacent reels, which might be worth checking out for a few spins.
