Stickers Slot from NetEnt
Stickers is a super-simple slot game that has been designed with mobile phone slots play in mind. You’ll find bright and colorful symbols, with all the game-play in the base game only.
The ‘stickers’ in the name is also a feature. Wild symbols stick to the reels, triggering a (free) respin. If you are lucky enough to collect one or more additional wilds, you’ll get a second respin and so on.
The biggest wins will come from making wins on up to 25 win-lines at the same time. While you play a very cheesy easy listening tune cheerfully rotates in the background!
How to Win on the Stickers Slot
Winning symbols are all the kind of things found on countless slots – though in this case they have been given a make-over which does give a distinctive look and feel. There are fruits, and circles which represent the playing card symbols.
Fruits pay best and a strawberry is the highest paying of all. This looks glazed, and sliced in half length-ways. If you hit 5 you’ll win 400 coins, with 150 coins for 4 and 40 for just 3. Oranges (again glazed) come next at 300 for 5, what could be a kiwi fruit next at 200 and the humble plum makes up the fruits adding 100 coins for 5.
Playing card symbols are nothing new in slot games – though these are very bright compared to most designs. Aces are worth 80 for 5 of a kind, all the way down to 10’s which bring you 30 for the full set. All of the symbols (both fruits and playing cards) pay from 3 of a kind and up.
Sticky Wilds and Respins
Wild symbols are a gold design with a red ‘spade’ on them with the world wild. These play a key role in the Stickers slot – triggering the special respin feature. Wilds can appear anywhere on the reels, and will substitute for any of the regular symbols to create extra wins.
Whenever you hit one, the words ‘Sticky Spin’ appear large over the reels, and you get a (temporary) rest from the happy easy listening track. If your respin adds another wild to the board, then you spin once again – and so on. This could keep going until the entire board (all 15 spots) are covered in wilds.
Clean, Mobile Friendly Design
This game does look very simple on a desktop – which leads me to think that it was designed as a mobile slot game first. Around the outside of the reels are some colorful, though somewhat blurred fruits. The logo is simple, with a strawberry on the left and then colored blocky letters – there is a box next to this with scrolling letters telling you about the game.
The reels are a plain cream color, with the focus being on the bright and glass-effect of the symbols. These are all nicely created, though your attention will be on lining them up, rather than any animation of detail in the designs. The only moving symbol is the wild, which will spin when the game scrolls through different win lines.
When you hit the Sticky Spin feature, the background changes to a geometric pattern with a yellow hue – while the words ‘Sticky Spin’ expand and burst out of the reel area. There are some squelchy noises as the reels come to a stop.
The 20 win-lines are fixed for this game, though you can adjust your coin size and the number of coins played per spin. The usual NetEnt control panel, which includes auto-play, max bet and sound / graphics configuration gives you plenty more flexibility before you spin.
This slot does not try and go down the interactive or multi-functional route – instead sticking to a simple and clean setup with a single feature. The ‘Sticky Spins’ is essentially a respin + sticky wild combo. This can help bring in some extra wins – especially those times you get a run of spins going and end up with several wilds over the reels.
