Free Kitty Glitter Slots
If there were an award for the most over the top slot game – Kitty Glitter from IGT would definitely be in the running. This slot is unashamedly kitsch, involving the most glamorous, spoiled and pampered cats imaginable.
At the same time the years of experience IGT has in creating slot games has been put to good use. Creating a game which is entertaining to play, and has the potential for some big wins. The main symbols in play are the cats. There is a white long haired one, a ginger tom, a tabby and a Siamese cat too. The highlight is a free spins game where you’ll collect diamonds for each cat – turning the different cats into wilds as you do. This gives you the potential to cover a lot of the reels in wilds for the final few free spins.
How to Win on IGT’s Slots Machine Kitty Glitter
To win a pay out at Kitty Glitter you’ll need to land three or more consecutive symbols from left to right on a win line. The white furry cat is the highest paying one, worth 1,000 coins when landing five in a row, while the ginger, the tabby and the Siamese cats pay 750, 400 and 300 coins respectively. The standard symbols on the reels are completed by the playing card characters from 10 to Ace.
The wild symbol shows the title of the slot and only makes an appearance on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. This will substitute for every other symbol apart from the bonus one enabling many additional wins, which are aided by the fact that this wild is stacked on occasions.
Apart the cats the only other unique symbol is a cat bowl full of diamonds. If you manage to land this symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4 you’ll enter the free spins bonus round. You’ll have 15 free spins, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Below the reels you’ll now find the four cats each with three empty diamond symbols next to them. An extra diamond symbol now appears on reel 5 and each one that appears will now fill one of these empty diamond slots. Firstly you’ll fill the three diamonds next to the white furry cat and when you do, this symbol will now be wild for all subsequent spins. The more diamonds you fill, the more wilds will appear on the reels. This makes for a good, original bonus feature that goes much further than your usual free spins round.
How the Kitty Glitter Slot Works
This IGT designed slot follows the tried and tested format of the 5×3 slot configuration. There are a total of 30 win lines which are set as the default number, but you do have the option of changing this to 15, 9, 5 or even just a single line. With the wilds in play (particularly in the free spins), I recommend sticking to the maximum 30 lines and adjusting your coin size to suit you based on that. You can select a line bet size which ranges from just 1c all the way up to $50.
The game has an auto spin button, which when clicking will bring up options to play 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 spins without interruption, while you’ll also find options to toggle the sound on and off and change the graphical quality of the game.
You’d certainly say this slot was bright, the background a rich red with diamonds sparkling throughout. Unfortunately, the game is a little weak graphically, the very basic images on the reels not quite matching up to some of the online slots you’ll find today. There is also a lack of any animation on the reels, the symbols simply flashing when forming part of a win line. The accompanying sound is somewhat generic, but it does fit the diamond theme of the slot (not so much the cat theme).
Your first impression of this IGT designed slot might not be too positive, with the graphics being a little on the weak side. These are smart enough, just starting to show the age of the game a little. However, you should stick with it, as the bonus feature is actually quite unique, certainly playable and highly profitable when those diamonds start filling the reels. Fans of cats will fall for this slot from the start, especially when those large payouts roll in when the white furry cat fills the reels. This slot is well worth a spin – though I would be happy to see a version 2 coming out with more up to date touches like animations and on-topic sound effects.
