Dynamite Slot from Everi Gaming
This fun and fast-paced slot game is based on an old fashioned gold mine. The first thing you’ll notice (other than the cheerful bluegrass tune) is that there are 6 reels instead of the usual 5, and that each of these is 5 symbols tall.
You will also find a unique way of giving the game wilds. These come as either sticks or barrels of dynamite – which explode covering the reels with wilds.
There is also a free spins bonus game, where you’ll get even more of the explosions than usual.
How to Win on the Dynamite Slot
You’ll need to line up 6 of a kind wins to get the better prizes in this game. There are 50 win-lines in total covering the bigger 6 by 5 grid. Top symbols are all related to the gold mines of the 1800’s, including old style mine carts full of gold, diamonds, gold nuggets and weighing scales.
Diamonds are the best paying symbol, worth 400 coins for 6 of a kind and 150 for 5 (all symbols pay smaller amounts for 3 or more from the left). Next come nuggets at 350 for 6, with scales (300) and carts (250) following this. Playing card symbols from ace down to 9 make up the rest of the wining symbols.
Dynamite Wilds – The ‘Wild Burst’ System
Instead of regular wilds appearing on the reels like you will find on most Everi slots, the Dynamite game uses explosions. You’ll see 2 types of these. First individual sticks of dynamite can explode covering up to 4 squares on the reels wild. Second you will see barrels, these are better, exploding to cover up to 9 squares in wilds. If these are at the top or bottom of the reels, you’ll get fewer wilds – with the most in the middle.
Things get more interesting if the explosions overlap. When that happens the wild becomes a 2x one – doubling any wins going through it. If you get a couple of dynamite sticks and a barrel (for example) you can see a lot of the reels covered in these wild symbols at once.
Digging the Free Spins Bonus Game
The final symbol is a free spins sign – complete with pick and shovel. You’ll get 7 free spins regardless of how many of these scatters land in the triggering spin. The more scatters you get, the bigger the credit prize you’ll get to go along with these. The biggest is 1250 coins for 6 anywhere on the reels, with 500 for 5, 250 for 4 and 100 for 3.
Next you see a rope appear across the reels and a mine-cart will wheel into view. This shows you have 7 spins, and asks you to click to start. The music becomes more upbeat (the violin more prominent) for the bonus game, and you will also enjoy more explosive wilds on the reels.
You can retrigger more spins with the same bonus symbols. Once this game is over the mine cart will wheel back in, revealing the total that you won.
Design and Setup
While the design is smart and the game play very smooth – this slot looks a little older than some of the other Everi numbers. This is most apparent with the symbols, which have a basic look to them. This should not interfere with your enjoyment of the game. There are some nice touches, for example the clear reels show a mine tunnel view in the background when you spin. The sizzling of the dynamite wilds and cartoon explosions are also nicely produced.
You might expect a bigger 6 reel by 5 row grid to have a lot of extra win-lines – however this slot uses only 50. You can bet from 1c per line and up, with the maximum being 250 credits. There is a big top prize available from a single spin – as much as 419,625 credits.
For me the combination of the happy bluegrass music and the unique dynamite wilds combine to turn a good slot into a great one. While the graphics are a little dated, this does not take away from the game play and enjoyment of the light humor of this game. It is possible get good coverage of wilds on the reels, with multipliers when these overlap. Combine this with some 6 of a kind wins, and the Dynamite slot certainly has some big win potential.
