Tiger Treasures Slot Machine
This slot looks plain in comparison with many games in the Bally range. The background to the reels being white, and somewhat muted symbols give it a slightly retro look. Once you start to spin, you will discover that there are some good reasons to play. The setup is 243-ways, which means that old-style win lines are not used. Instead any sequence from the left hand reel of 3+ symbols is counted as a win. You will also get to choose the volatility level of your bonus round. This can be a smaller number of spins with a bigger multiplier, or a larger number with smaller multipliers – or something in between.
Symbols on the reels are an eclectic combination of animals. As the name suggests, there is a tiger in play – this is the wild symbol and will give you a pretty realistic roar when involved in a win-line. There are also camels, peacocks, an elephant, a lily and what looks like a pile of treasure. Many of the symbols are the standard Bally playing card signs. There is not too much in the way of animations for this game, unless you count the line graphics and flashing symbols when involve in a win.
Playing Tiger Treasures
With 243 ways to win, you do not have to think about win-lines. This system makes slots a lot easier to play. When you see the same symbol on reels from the left, it cannot miss a win line like in other formats. As soon as you get used to it, the 243 ways becomes preferable to the 25 or 40 win lines setup every time. You need to play 25 credits to access the multiple combinations for Tiger Treasures. Stakes start at 1c and go to $16 ($400 per spin).
Payouts are larger compared to many Bally slots, with the top symbols (Elephant, camel and treasure) paying 40 times your total stake for 5 on a line. The lily and peacock come next, with the playing cards making up the smaller prize amounts. You need 3+ of any symbol to receive a prize.
Tigers are wild, and will substitute for all of the regular symbols – though not the bonus symbols. Bonus symbols land on every reel, though you need 3+ from the left hand side to trigger the feature. There is also a scatter payment for 3+ of these symbols anywhere on the reels.
Bonus Game for Tiger Treasures
Graphically, there is nothing too special about the free spins bonus game. The change comes with a choice you make before the game proper starts. You can select between 5 and 20 free spins. During each game the tigers (which are different colours) being included in a win will give you a multiplier on the total prize. This is randomly awarded, though depending on how many spins you choose – the range is different.
You can select 5 free spins with multipliers of 10x, 15x or 30x. 8 games with multipliers between 8x and 15x. 10 games between 5x and 10x, 15 games between 3x and 8x or 20 games with multipliers of between 2x and 5x. Over the (very) long run, the prizes will be the same – in the short run, you can decide how big a gamble you would like to take.
Summary of Tiger Treasures
This particular game lacks a little in the graphic elements compared to many Bally slots. The white background and muted blocky symbols do not do the game any favours. Once you start to play, the combination of 243 way action, and a choice of free spins bonuses make the game reasonably engaging. Even after playing a few times, I still have not quite managed to grasp the link between the camel, tiger and water lily!
