Time for a Deal Slots Machine

There are a lot of slots with a TV game show theme. The best known are the Wheel of Fortune slots. Time for a Deal slot machine from Ash Gaming is not based on a specific brand. Instead this takes a lot of the elements of game shows and takes a humorous look at them.

You’ll have a host while you play, who speaks entertaining gibberish at all the right moments (along with speech bubbles). There is a free spins bonus game, which lets you gamble your wins for a mystery prize or a replay at the end. There is also a picks bonus game, which leads to a special second set of reels. From this one you can win the progressive jackpot. Overall this is a quality production, with plenty of chances of hitting a big win.

  • How the Show Works – Setup of the Time for a Deal Slot

TV lights and cameras point at a 5×3 grid of reels, with the host standing on the right-hand side. There are 25 win-lines in play, and you can choose how much to bet per line from 1c and up. As usual, auto-play is offered too.

Thought the game show features are the main draw, there are some decent line-wins available too. These are topped by the logo symbol, which is the wild / substitute – this is worth 2000 coins for 5 of a kind. Higher paying symbols are typical game show prizes. A red card (1000 for 5), diamond ring (750), palm tree and sea (500), camera (300) and the trusty toaster (200). There are playing cards making up the smaller wins.

On the reels you can get randomly wild reels with a game-show element. Here one of two wild reels gets revealed, and you then choose between taking a cash prize of several times your spin amount – or gambling. If you choose to gamble, the other wild reel is shown. You might create some more wins, or you might lose.

Free Spins Bonus + Mystery Prize

If you hit 3 of the free spins (host) symbols anywhere on the reels, you go to a picks game which precedes the free spins proper. The reels change, with the top row showing stars with the word ‘wild’, the middle row numbers and the bottom row arrows in a circle.

A spotlight appears, and rapidly scrolls between the arrows. It stops on one, and the number of free spins is revealed. You will also see the numbers behind the symbols that were not selected. Next the spotlight stops on a multiplier (number), and finally one of the wild stars, where a symbol to become an extra wild is selected.

All the while the host to the left of the reels is making comments in complete gibberish!

Next you go to the regular reels, and spin through your free games. Once these are over you get a choice. This is to keep your wins, or to take a mystery prize – which is represented by a suitcase full of cash. That prize could be higher or lower than your total.

    Game Show Bonus Round

3 of the bonus symbols see you taken to a second screen bonus. A cartoon avatar assistant appears to help with this – she has impossibly long legs. You will see 3 doors, and 2 silver and one gold coin behind them. You choose a door, then get offered the chance to switch. Your coin will determine how valuable the next part of this bonus is.

A new slot appears, with all of the symbols as numbers. The hostess puts your coin in a slot at the top, and pulls the handle. If you chose the gold coin, then this slot will have 5 reels. If you chose one of the two silver coins, it will have 3 reels – with 2 shuttered off.

Each reel stops on a number between x1 and x200. This is a multiple of your spin amount that you will win. They do not multiply together, instead each reel incrementally adds to your total.

If you get 3 of the special symbols with stars in the background, then you will win the progressive jackpot prize in addition to whatever you win from this slot.

TV Studio Design of the Time for a Deal Slot

This is a beautifully produced slot, with 3D animations and special effects. The suited host is a real mix of the TV game show host clichés, and will react to your play during all of the parts of this game. The look includes spotlights and neon, and the sound effects would work perfectly on just about any game show you could create!

Should I Tune in to Time for a Deal?

If you enjoy the many game show slots out there, then Time for a Deal should certainly be on your list. This is entertaining, humorous and has plenty of potential for big wins. The bonus game can lead to big multipliers of your spin amount – or even the progressive jackpot. If you hit a bigger multiplier in the free spins, then you could have a real decision on whether to keep that win, or to swap it for the mystery prize.
