King Richer Slot Review

This is a solid and colorful online slot where you’ll try and land a king’s riches. The castle behind the reels, big pile of gold and fact that even the fruit symbols on the reels all back up the royal theme. You will hear trumpets announcing wins (too loud to 4 of a kind and better ones!) and can enjoy a free spins game which takes place on a completely different smaller set of reels.

There is also a progressive element to play – with special gold coin symbols  adding more free spins for when you do hit the feature round.

How to Win on the King Richer Slot

There are 25 lines going across the 5 reels of the base game, and the symbol you’ll want to see the most of is the King Richer logo. This is worth 1000 coins for 5 of a kind, with 500 the prize for 4 and 200 coins for 3. The regal looking red 7 comes next at 750 coins for 5 of a kind.

You will find both bar symbols and fruits on the reels. These have been tied in with the royal theme. Bar symbols have a gold surround, while the plums, oranges and cherries that make up the smallest wins all wear tiny crowns. Bars come in the usual 3, 2 and 1 variations (5 of the 3 bar on a line gets you a generous 600 coins). You will also get paid a small amount for lining up 3 different bars. The remaining symbols are a crown and a scepter, which sit between the bars and the fruit in the pay table.

The king looks very happy in his symbol, and is the wild for this slot. He will substitute for any other symbols to make wins, with the exception of the bonus and progressive free spins coin symbols. With the help of the king, you will often find yourself making several wins from a single spin.

King Richer Slot Progressive Bonus Round

To trigger the free spins bonus game, you’ll need to hit a special bonus symbol on the first and fifth reels. The progressive element of this bonus will decide how many free spins you get. The base is 7, though each time you hit one of the special coin symbols, one spin gets added. This appears on the first coin in a line of them which appear at the top of the reels.

When the spins start a yellow banner unfurls from the top of the screen showing the number of spins you won. You then go to a brand new set of reels with their own pay table. This is a 3 reel slot, with just the one win-line and just 5 different symbols. Since you only need one of a kind to trigger a win, every time this spins you are guaranteed a win.

Lining up 3 of the King Riches logo will pay a generous top prize of 5000 coins (500 for 2 and 100 for just 1). Sevens come next (1000 for 3) then bars, crowns and cherries. While each win is announced, there is no total kept while you are playing for real money – when your spins end this is displayed on the yellow banner before you go back to the main reels.

Design and Setup of King Richer

This slot is bright and bold, with some animations (clouds and coins) around the reels to give it a lively feel. The big piles of gold behind the slot and castle are nicely done too. The background of the reels is a purple design, and the symbols are created with a lot of detail. While the King is the stand out (looks like quite a character), the crown and scepter also have a lot of attention to detail.

For me the winning sounds (trumpets) are a little on the jarring side after a while. The 4+ winning sound is bigger, bolder and louder than the others – and really could do with being made to match the levels of the rest of the game! Fortunately, this game is quiet between spins, except in the free spins game where you’ll get a brassy tune playing throughout.

There are 25 win lines, which are not changeable. You can play from 1c per line and up and the fully configurable auto-play option is there to stop you having to click each time.

Overall Experience

A solid slot, which is nicely designed and plays quickly and smoothly. With only the single feature (that is not too frequent, though pays well when it does hit), this is not a slot which will appeal to those seeking an interactive experience. If you enjoy the solid side of online slot gaming – then King Riches from Amaya is well worth a spin.
