Trojan Treasure Slot Machine
For as long as slot games have had specific themes, there have been ancient civilization-themed slot games. Whether it’s a slot game with ancient Mayan imagery or a dash through an Egyptian pyramid or temple, there’s something about these historic themes that make for solid slot games with good prizes.
Ainsworth took a bit of a different route with their Trojan Treasure slot game, tapping into Trojan history to bring you a rewarding slot game filled with ancient imagery. The only problem is, the Trojan horse could be full of treasure or there could be an ambush of nothing awaiting you. The only way to find out is by stepping up and spinning the reels with Trojan Treasure.
As far as slot games go, Trojan Treasure is about as simply as it gets. There are no jackpots or bonus reels to worry about, and the only settings you’ll need to change are the bet amount and the paylines. Even with this simplicity, there are still some bonus features to give you a break from reel-spinning monotony in the Trojan Treasure slot machine. Here are some quick details:
- Trojan Treasure is a 5×3 slot game which means there are 15 symbols for each spin
- The 30 paylines can be turned on or off by opening the settings menu and using the slider
- Your bet can be as small as €0.01 per line or as large as €100.00 per line
- Wild symbols can stack to cover an entire reel
Features & Overview
Trojan Treasure may be a simple-looking slot game, but that simplicity is part of what makes it a good game. The graphics are really well done, especially compared to other Ainsworth slot games. Unfortunately this seems to cause some issues as some animations play a bit slowly. At the end of the day, this isn’t a problem that will keep you from playing the game.
There is no background music in Trojan Treasure, but the sound effects are good enough to make up for that. Aside from the clicking sound of the reels stopping, there are also sound effects that let you know when you’ve landed a special symbol.
Since some similar Ainsworth slot games have fixed paylines, it’s nice to be able to adjust them in the Trojan Treasure casino game.
Although it may look like a super simple slot game on the surface, Trojan Treasure does have a bonus feature that you can trigger.
If you land three or more Trojan Treasure symbols anywhere on the reels in one spin, you will be rewarded with 8 free spins. You can trigger another 5 free spins by landing more Trojan Horse symbols. During these free spins, the horse symbol appears only on the 3rd and 5th reels and substitutes for everything but scatters and the multiplier horse symbol. If a horse symbol lands on the 3rd reel during these free spins, it will be held until the free spins are over.
The free spins also bring with them the multiplier horse symbol.
- This symbol only appears on the 2nd and 4th reels during free games
- Multiplier horse can substitute for everything but horse and scatter symbols
- Can randomly reveal a multiplier of x2 on the 2nd reel or x2 or x3 on the 4th reel
- Multiplier horse symbols are held on the reels until the free games are over
The Final Verdict
Trojan Treasure takes the thing that Ainsworth does best—simplicity—and leverages it into a good slot game with a potentially very rewarding free spin feature. Admittedly, there aren’t a lot of bonus features to give you a break from spinning, but the good graphics and overall solid design of the Trojan Treasure slot game make up for that.
