Full AllStar Slots Casino Video Poker Review

AllStar Slots is (surprise-surprise) another online casino with a heavy focus on slot machine gambling. The site holds a gaming license from Curacao, runs on the mega-popular Real Time Gaming suite of casino software, and is available in both a download version and an instant-play version. Offering an instant-play set of casino games is important–it allows more customers to access your software, since not everyone’s computer is compatible with your site software. Of course, the trade-off with instant play roulette is normally a smaller variety of titles to pick from, and effects that are lower-quality, displayed in a smaller interface. AllStar Slots doesn’t do much to tempt the roulette junkie, with just two titles to pick from, both of which translate very poorly to the Flash-enabled instant-play casino design.

The total number of casino games available for play at AllStar Slots is just 122 games, with 80 of those slots filled with various RTG slot titles. For some reason, AllStar Slots puts our favorite game into their “specialty games” category, rather than “table games,” the category most sites place the game in. It’s just another sign that AllStar may not be the best venue for online roulette gambling, with options for us spinning-wheel fans that don’t stack up to the majority of their Internet casino competition.

Roulette Games at AllStar Slots Casino

Unfortunately for fans of The Devil’s Wheel, AllStar Slots Casino only has two games to pick from. The choice between a European set of rules and an American roulette game is easy enough for most of us. The European game offers better odds to the gambler, not to mention the occasional surrender / en prison rule available at some casinos that tips the game even further in the player’s favor, so rarely an option at American games but almost always available in French or European roulette.

Internet casinos and land-based casinos share a lot in common, including a tendency to stuff the floor with slots and video poker games and provide just a few of the less-profitable table classics. It should be no surprise that only two roulette variants are available at AllStar–most Vegas casinos offer no more than two types of games, sometimes offering just one. But the Internet casino industry has taken this simple game in a lot of different directions, none of which have been embraced by AllStar Slots, at least not as of this writing. No mobile client exists, nor do you have the option of participating in a multiplayer game, 3D or otherwise. Also missing from this slots-obsessed casino, in terms of table game variation you can find at other Internet betting sites, are multi-wheel games, live dealer roulette tables, and rule variations such as progressive jackpot and mini-roulette games.

As for the quality of the game–it just doesn’t look as good as other software on the Internet. Microgaming’s instant version of mini-roulette, for example, looks better than RTG’s game through the download client, and don’t expect to play in full-screen mode, it simply doesn’t exist. Table gamblers get pretty poor quality, even from the download version of AllStar Casino, so enjoying the convenience of the Flash version of their games is probably a better idea. Graphically speaking, roulette at AllStar Slots is not a big winner.

AllStar Slots Casino Software

Real Time Gaming designs great casino gambling games, and is one of the most popular sets of casino game software in the world. Unfortunately, the popularity of RTG’s video and bonus slots has led to the appearance of sites, like AllStar Slots Casino, that cater mostly to slot gambler’s needs. True to form, AllStar’s promotions are even geared more toward slot and video poker players, with among the highest wagering requirements to earn table game bonus cash in the industry, at 50x as of this writing. Normally, table gamers earn small amounts of bonus cash for rollovers in the range of 5x to 20x. The rollover for table game bonuses on AllStar Slots Casino is just plain ridiculous.

Of course, Real Time Gaming has nothing to do with that requirement, since they allow sites like AllStar the right to run whatever promotions they want.
In short, Real Time Gaming software is a great addition to AllStar . . . if you like slot machines. The site simply doesn’t have enough games in its software lineup to interest table gamers. The software for roulette available in the AllStar gaming lobby is extremely limited, and you’ll probably be disappointed with the way the game looks when you choose European or American rules.

Pros and Cons of Roulette at AllStar Slots

About the best thing you can say about playing roulette at AllStar Slots Casino is that the site hosts both European and American wheels. This gambling site does a few things really well: offering dozens of deposit and withdrawal options, providing twenty-four hour customer support using live chat, toll-free phone, and email support, and the offer of special weekly bonuses for their loyal customers. Unfortunately, not much in this casino’s pro column has anything to do with their roulette game.

For fans of table gaming, a site like AllStar Slots Casino has plenty of downsides. The most obvious three problems with this casino and roulette play: a lack of rule variations, no mobile casino for on-the-go betting, and no progressive version of this centuries-old casino classic. Now that live dealer games are becoming standard at most of their online competition, they need to consider releasing a few titles in Live Dealer versions, staring with roulette, blackjack, and craps. That would go a long way to making AllStar Slots more table gamer-friendly.
