The biggest story in online gambling recently is the merger between The Stars Group and Flutter Entertainment. Evolution Gaming is already a partner with The Stars Group, supplying Live Dealer casino games to the company. Now, Evolution has partnered with Flutter Entertainment.

Evolution Gaming to Provide Live Casino Games to Paddy Power and Betfair

Last week, Evolution Gaming announced what they described as a “major Live Casino deal” with Flutter Entertainment. Under the deal, Evolution Gaming will provide their library of Live Casino games. This includes Evolution’s exclusive game show casino games such as Lightning Roulette and Deal or No Deal. The deal also includes the library of native-speaking Roulette games.

According to Evolution Gaming’s CCO Sebastian Johannisson, “This is a landmark agreement for Evolution, a significant deal that we have been working towards for a number of years. We are thrilled at the prospect of Flutter Entertainment’s powerhouse brands Paddy Power and Betfair presenting our world-leading Live Casino offering and we are sure that their players will relish our live game shows offering.”

He continued by saying, “We are honoured to be working with Flutter Entertainment. Our companies are very well matched in terms of ambition and culture, and we are confident that we are the perfect partner to take their Live Casino offering to the next level.”

Paddy Power’s Commercial Director Mike Phelan also commented on the deal, stating, “We have seen the strong performance from Evolution’s product line over recent years. We are incredibly excited to be able to extend our offering in the Live Casino space by offering our players exclusive big brand live games such as Deal or No Deal Live and Lightning Roulette, to name just two of the big attractions in the Evolution games portfolio.”

Evolution Will Be Sole Live Dealer Games Provider in the United States

In case you haven’t been paying attention, Evolution Gaming has been slowly growing its portfolio of major online casino clients around the world. They presently have contracts with 888, Betsson, William Hill, GVC, Unibet, and more.

The one thing that sticks out regarding this deal is Evolution has become a de facto monopoly when it comes to Live Dealer Games. They are the only company offering Live Dealer games for legitimate online casinos. Evolution has contracts with casinos in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

At one point, they had competition from Ezugi, but Evolution acquired the company in 2018. This makes Evolution the only provider for Live Dealer games for legal online casinos in the United States.

Why Do So Many Companies Sign With Evolution

Evolution Gaming provides quality Live Dealer table games for online casinos around the world. Their products include Live Dealer Blackjack, Live Dealer Roulette, Live Dealer Baccarat, and more. Online casino players enjoy these games because they provide live dealer interaction that some people miss while playing online.

Next, it is easier for online casinos to partner with Evolution rather than develop their own games. Evolution takes care of everything from designing the games to operating the Live Dealer studios for their games. All a casino has to do is sign a contract, pay the fees, and link their client or website to Evolution’s servers. This gives the casino ready-made Live Dealer content available 24-7.

The only thing that could slow down Evolution Gaming’s growth in the United States is its status as a solo provider of Live Dealer games. Some analysts have speculated that the company could run afoul of anti-trust laws and could be seen as a monopoly. While regulated online casino gaming is still in its infancy in the United States, this could become a bigger issue as the market continues expanding.
