Circa Las Vegas Announces Grand Opening Set for December 2020
Derek and Greg Stevens, the brothers who own D Las Vegas, announced plans for a new integrated gaming mecca coming to Las Vegas. The Stevens brothers, who are fixtures in the Downtown Las Vegas casino industry, teamed up together to Circa Resort & Casino. The project will be completed in late 2020 and a grand opening for business should happen by December 2020.
The Stevens brothers have taken on several different business ventures over the past ten years including the D Las Vegas, the associated Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino.
Derek Stevens tends to be the public face of D Las Vegas, while Greg Stevens works behind the scenes. The two have added a fresh twist to Downtown Las Vegas and are known for building an environment that brings in all types of people.
All the while, the brothers say they try to stay true to the original vintage feel that Downtown Las Vegas once offered.
Fremont Street Experience
Circa Las Vegas will be located near the Fremont Street Experience. Fremont Street has not had a casino since 1980, so Las Vegas’s city’s leaders welcome this new addition. Circa will offer the classic and never-changing feel the city has always had yet will bring a new and exciting change for anyone to enjoy.
Derek Stevens said, “There is a lot of unmet demand for fun in Las Vegas. At Circa, our goal is to create a destination resort in a historic part of the city, while showing guests the time of their lives.”

Derek Stevens Announces Circa Las Vegas
Derek Stevens took the stage at the State of Address afterparty at Downtown Las Vegas Event Center and revealed artists’s renderings with the design details. Earlier in the evening, he had announced the casino and resorts name, design and giant neon sign that will soon hang atop the tower.
Part of the presentation include a video giving an overview of what is to come with the new Circa.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman was present for the announcements.
Looking on was a long list of notable city and state officials, property executives, community partners as well as some members of famed founding Las Vegas families such as Jimmy Vaccaro, the legendary bookmaker; Michael and Brendan Gaughan, son and grandson of hotel and casino tycoon Jackie Gaughan; son of casino developer Jay Sarno, Freddie Sarno; Nevada Stupak, son of casino owner Bob Stupak.
According to those in attendance, the Derek Stevens, known for his flamboyance, did not disappoint with attire for the evening. He upheld his traditional eclectic blazers with one that displayed Circa’s logo.
Construction on Circa Las Vegas
The construction on the new property has begun and will result in a 1.25-million-square-foot structure that will stand taller than any other building north of the strip. The developers have teamed up with Steelman Partners to help oversee architecture and design. Tré Builders is the properties construction manager and the hired contractor is McCarthy Building Companies Inc.
Circa will be modern and bold with a backlit roof topped and a unique amphitheater pool with multiple levels.
A big part of the landscape will be a huge outdoor screen for those who prefer to get a little sun while watching their favorite games. Along with the luxurious pools will come private cabanas, top-notch food, and to truly make is a party, non-stop music from DJs and special guests.
Circa also will have a massive parking structure which some have called the “Garage Mahal”. This state-of-the art structure will be geared toward the ride-share style that companies like Uber and Lyft offer. The garage will sit nine stories tall holding 1,201 parking spots and will be centrally located making it easy for guests to get to and from the resort.
Circa Las Vegas Hotel
Circa’s hotel will offer 777 rooms and suites, along with the longest outside bar on Fremont Street and a wide selection of unique restaurants. The hotel area comes with a luxurious spa and casino.
The casino will be two levels and feature a slots row and gaming tables with a full allotment of blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and table poker.
Circa Las Vegas Sportsbook
Circa also will have is a multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook with the largest screen in sportsbook history. Taking it to an even higher level, the Stevens brothers have partnered with Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN), a sports gaming media organization, to bring an in-house broadcast studio to the resort. This will provide bettors with a direct and in-depth analysis of current events and sports coming from a list of experts which will include broadcasters, industry professionals and even athletes.
Vegas Vickie Display
Circa’s main display features Las Vegas icon, Vegas Vickie. The kicking cowgirl will be a key design element for the interior of the resort. Vickie, who used to sit high above Fremont Street, will now be a staple in the hotel lobby. As things begin to develop and progress, more information about further details and an opening date will be revealed in the coming months.
