Sons of Anarchy Slots Machine

Sons of Anarchy is a TV series that ran from 2008 until 2014 which cantered around a close knit group of motorcyclists in California. The show focuses on the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original, also known as SAMCRO or ‘Sam Crow’. The principal character of the show is Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller, who is the vice president of the club at the outset of the series. The series was the highest rated TV show ever for cable network FX and it’s no surprise at all that Sons of Anarchy has become the subject of its own live casino slot.

The first thing you’ll notice about the slot is the imposing size of the screen. This is set in the ‘VerveHD’ cabinet that easily houses the standard play in the lower portion of the display. This may not seem such a great achievement, but if I tell you that the standard game has six reels in play, with five symbols on each reel, you might be a little more impressed. The other aspect of the slot which stands out is the chair which you’ll sit on – this adding to the experience as speakers are built into it and the chair reacts to the game by vibrating and moving in line with the action on the screen.

One of the biggest draws of the Sons of Anarchy slot is the Jackpot amount that can be won. This is a progressive Jackpot, with the Jackpot pool networked, so you’ll watch the amount tick relentlessly upwards on the screen. When the Jackpot is won it is reseeded for the amount of $500,000.

The gameplay itself features ultra hi-def graphics and you’ll find a series of cast members on the reels, including Jax, Gemma and Clay. Each of these characters has a symbol that encompasses at least two spaces on the reels, some actually stretching to three – making these symbols the most striking at the slot.

Playing Sons of Anarchy

This slot is the first in the Aristocrat range that uses the ‘Cluster Power’ technology, where you’ll win by connecting the same symbol in clusters across more than one reel, starting with the leftmost reel. Each time you land one of the larger character symbols which completely fill one of the reels you’ll gain a re-spin and should you land the same character again in the re-spin, the reels will grow in line with the size of the symbols – the slot growing both horizontally and vertically. This could lead to you playing on a 10 x 10 slot, as opposed to the 6 x 5 configuration you had at the start of your session.

Another stacked symbol activates the main bonus feature of the game –the ‘Grim Reaper’. Should this appear three or more times across the reels you’ll activate the Jackpot game. You’ll head to the bonus wheel which you’ll set in motion with a swipe of the screen. This wheel features a series of blue and red segments – land on a blue segment and you’ll be given a number of free spins. You can win up to 100 free spins each with a multiplier attached, making the free spins round potentially huge. However land on a red segment and you’ll win one of the four different Jackpot amounts. The Jackpots are the Mini, the Minor, the Major and the Grand.

Summary of the Sons of Anarchy Slots Machine

When heading onto the casino floor, you’ll find many similar looking slots, but this is certainly not something than can be said about the Sons of Anarchy game. The slot is striking from afar and only gets better when you actually sit down to play. The game is visually stunning and features highly innovative gameplay, making it one of the most original slots you’ll find on the floor. If you throw in the fact that you can win in excess of half a million dollars, this is a slot that will hold great appeal to all – whether a fan of the series or not!

Sons of Anarchy: TV Series

Sons of Anarchy first appeared in 2008, created by Kurt Sutter, a writer and actor who had previously written and appeared in ‘The Shield’. In researching for the series, Sutter would spend time with an outlaw club in California, where he would gain an insight into the way of life of members.

The series would be set in California, in the small town of Charming and be based around the antics of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original (SAMCRO). Clay is the chairman of the club and leads it using violence and in a somewhat old school manner. His step-son is Jax, who is the central character of the series. Jax would come across his late father’s diary, his father co-founding  SAMCRO in the late 1960’s. Upon reading the diary, it leads him to a great amount of soul searching about the direction of the club, which he tries to put right.

During the seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy many things stand in his way, including Mexican Drug Cartels, rival gangs, the local cops, producers of porn films, white supremacists and perhaps most of all his own stepfather, who is  married to Gemma (played by Katey Sagal who is incidentally married to writer Kurt Sutter). As you can imagine, a series with such battles features a great amount of violence – although in contrast, writer Sutter also freely admits that the series is influenced in many ways by Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

The series has been the recipient of many awards over the years and would become the highest rated show ever produced by FX, surpassing other series such as Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck and The Shield. The growing popularity of the show is summed up perfectly by the fact that the average amount of viewers for the final season was more than double that of the first season.
